Looking Up

My worst “looking up” moment with birds came many years ago when I saw 15 louries in the trees in our garden and I looked up and kept looking up and didn’t see where I was going and I fell in the pool, scraping my thigh which left me with a bruise that took literally years to go away. But it hasn’t cured me from looking up.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Birds

See How They Run

Nancy at A Photo a Week asked for a photo or two with unexpected point of focus this week.

On Sundays, I sometimes take my camera on a run and take photos along the way. I have to be fast and the autofocus doesn’t always understand that it is about the people I’m with. The results are often unexpected.

And autofocus is usually not thinking like I am thinking when I spot something behind a fence.

Although the effect is not always the worst.

A Photo a Week: Unexpected Focus

From a Distance

When I saw the prompt for today I immediately knew which impression I would show. I have a number of photos of animals tracks, mostly cats and dogs but also a few birds, bunnies and deer on file. They looked perfect in the thumbnail pictures of the preview. Once you get closer and you view them in normal size – they seem to dissappear.

See what I mean?
