I’ve just learned of the English name “lagomorphs” for all kinds of hare-like creatures (taxonomical order of Lagomorpha from the Greek lagos = hare and morphé = form). In German, they are called Hasenartige, i.e. hare-like or hare-kind.
I kind of love the word, in fact, it is my new favourite word.
