One-to-three Challenge in September

This is my second installment for
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: It’s a Small World – I found this really small world on a my bike ride today. It seems to be part of a “planet ramble” (Planetenweg) with various planets displayed like this (Planetenweg). This is a representation of Neptune. A small, small world – only 57 times the size of our earth.

Square 29 for the KindaSquare Challenge in October.

#6 for Tourmaline’s Halloween Challenge.

I’m not sure whether I am in favour of the proliferation of rape seed fields all over the country, some grown for being made into oil but the majority made into petrol. I am also not in favour of the yellow muck that descends on cars and windows during its flowering time. But I can’t help being fan of the strips of yellow in the rural landscape, of the yellow fields and of the delicate little flowers.

Counting chimneys in Mainz.

What’s the collective noun for chimneys? A smoke of chimneys? I know that the collective noun for chimney sweeps is sweepdom.

I found counting chimneys much more fascinating in England and Scotland, here in Edinburgh.

How many do you count?

To counterbalance all these huddles of chimneys here is an impressive solitary one.

And what would a post about chimneys be without at least one sweep.

While the plain to the west was all foggy yesterday and the light never penetrated the clouds properly, there were crisp blue skies and sunshine galore in the hills to the east and I took my camera and went for a walk.
