Pentecost Weekend Trios
Pentecost weekend is excursion time for many Germans. If the weather plays along – all the better. The three cyclists certainly liked it that way.
For some the destination was the Bienenmarkt (bee market) in Michelstadt, the biggest county fair in the Odenwald. Locally it has the reputation of being a “puddle party” because of the traditionally wet weather. As you can see, tradition was not followed this year, and three cabins of the ferris wheel prove the point.

Flying with the Bees
The fairground came to Michelstadt in the Odenwald. The event is known as the “bees’ market” and it ends with a bee exhibition and the auctioning off bee colonies and beekeeper paraphernalia.- The fairground attractions are usually garish in colour, bright and shiny but this rather old-fashioned swing-carousel is doing it in pastels.
