National Trust Shop

Four years ago we were in the UK for the Rugby World Cup.  After the match between South Africa vs Scotland we were making our way from Newcastle to Edinburgh and stopping for a look see on Holy Island.  Now I am sitting at my desk and my husband is watching the Ireland vs Scotland game on the other pc – Japan is just a little too far (and a little too expensive).

Feeling blue – in a good way

I don’t know if that exquisite blue flower was the blue flower of the romantics but it could be.  It can be found next to fields (hence its common name “Wegwarte” in German, which could be translated as “watcher on the path”) but Common Chicory has practical applications in ersatz-coffee making.
