On On, HHH!

No, don’t worry: S.H.I.T.S. is an acronym and stands for “Saturday Hash in the Summer“.

No, you really don’t have to worry: Hash has nothing to do with smoking.  Or cookies, for that matter.

It’s short for a worldwide social running club, the Hash House Harriers. A foot (or feet) is its logo.  Runners follow a trail marked in chalk or flour and when they find the right way to run they shout “on on“.

Cee was asking for feet for her Black&White Photo Challenge.  Feet she got.  More feet can be found here.

Looking out vs. looking in

Christmas is over (but coming soon).  Looking through my archived files I realised that nighttime windows lend themselves to black and white photography.  And you get the best window decorations during christmas time.

Objects or People older than 50 years for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge.

The featured people are older than 50 but their clothes  – traditional German costumes from the south-western part – often are too, truly so or re-created.  Obviously, I have a penchant for hats.  The men all wear the traditional form called tricorne or cocked hat which was worn by older, more well-to-do burghers.
