The device on the second picture is a solar powered swimming water filter called pelican. Five or six keep the water in our local lake clean.

These are all exhibits from the National Glass Centre in Sunderland. Pyrex was invented and manufactured in Sunderland, so was Corningware.
But I prefer the vases better. And the sculptures even more.
