Don’t Pray for Me, Sardinia!

Last week I showed a photo captured on my cell phone of a would be stow-away who would have liked to come along on our holiday. Today there is somebody we met on said holiday. His name is Fred.

Fred is the littliest praying mantis I’ve ever met. Nevertheless, he has a great personality, hanging out in front of our holiday cabin and greeting us in the morning. I hope he will be cherished by the people moving in the cabin after us. And that he will continue to avoid matrimonial bliss for a long time.

Our Kilometre-stone

Not a milestone, obviously. It happened on Friday.

Wynona came to live me in May 2020. We have since spent 10,000 km together.

On an unimportant aside: Wasn’t it so much more satisfying when we had those little mechanical clickety clack odometers? When the big number came closer and the little plates were all straining with anticipation to flip over and finally they did so with a satisfying little clack?
