I send my mates in to check on the territory and help with the set-up.
Of course, my nudibums couldn’t keep their clothes on
and made themselves comfortable.
In the end we managed to set up the shot.

The cinnamon coloured carpels contrast beautifully with the yellow petals of the tickseed.
A white hen juxtaposed with the tawny hen.
Beautiful chocolate wool contrasted by momma’s beige wool.
Nutty duck: Walnut and almond coloured feathers offest by emerald and indigo.
And this young drake is still changing his colours to produce the striking contrast of the mature bird.

When we dissolved my mother-in-law’s household I received her old sewing machine. She sewed her children’s clothes on it but it is now reduced to being a flower stand.








Photographing this memory-laden piece of furniture I have noticed that I possibly should dust a bit more often … excuse the pun in the title.
