Not so long ago these posters appeared at the playgrounds in the neighbourhood and we had to abide by the rules. In truth, it was already an improvement to the complete closure of playgrounds because of the pandemic. The playground was open from 10am to 8 … Continue reading Do You Remember?
Three years ago playgrounds were closed because of the “curséd Covid”. The town admin put up a flimsy red and white tape and a notice. It wasn’t impregnable yet it was.
In the 18th century, the Bavarian regent Karl Theodor ordered a placard to be mounted on this promenade in Munich asking strollers not to annoy by permanently greeting each other. I wonder what he would have thought about our newly developed meeting and greeting rituals … Continue reading Meeting Etiquette
The method may be more traditional, similar to collages done by school children who glue cut-outs from magazines on a large piece of paper, the message unfortunately is very modern. During the first weeks of the corona lockdown, some children started a snake made of large painted pebbles. By now the line has grown to over 400 pebbles. And I wholeheartedly concur with the message on some of them – Corona is stupid!
Kick-off inspiration came from Debbie’s posta few days ago. Then I saw this masked figure while out for grocery shopping. He will reappear soon, I think, wearing a cape and crown (sic!). And of course, Tourmaline has been showing the way for years.
