No Escape
Even at our favourite Italian restaurant the football matches of the UEFA Euro will be shown. If we want to enjoy our pizza and pasta in peace and quiet we will have to eat at home.
Close by a family can’t decide where their allegiance lies. Maybe one of the serving staff of the restaurant lives there.

Archived Trios
I’ve been sick for almost two weeks. Too sick to go to school but well enough to crawl out of bed and plonk myself in front of the computer. I’ve used the time to sort archived photos. And came upon a few older trios.
Believe it or not – this was in March 2003. Snow like this is not a common occurrence in the Odenwald, let alone in springtime.
An old graffiti / mural. Even though old and dirty it still conveys a joyful mood.
And three birds on a wall – I’m sure there are many variations of this motive.
Corner Art
On the corners of half-timbered houses there are often decorative wood carvings.
They can be very elaborate like these on the town hall of Hadamar:
Sometimes it’s just a simple decoration:
Sometimes it’s large figures:
Sometimes rather tiny ones:
And sometimes it’s a very candid view:
Which – believe it or not – was not an uncommon motive a few hundreds years ago.
