Not by choice
What to do if my desk looks like this?
The only option seems to be sharing. Of course, I exercise parental control over what Henry is viewing. He most enjoys films made for cats, either about birds or, like here, fish.

My desk is not German at all
Germans are said to be very methodical, orderly and tidy.
A German proverb goes: Ordnung muss sein. Literally: Order must prevail. Or closer to an English proverb (and possibly describing cultural differences): Orderliness (or tidiness) is next to godliness.
I, on the other hand, live according to another saying:
Tidy people are just too lazy to look for things.
