Barking. Looks nice as a sculpture but this little Jack Russell lives in the flat above us and he and his sister like to bark (sometimes without an end in sight hearing).

In German, kurz means short. It is also a fairly common family name.
Ducks have fairly short legs.
Which normally doesn’t inconvenience them much.
For other species it can create an advantage or an obstacle, depending on the terrain and intention.

No question for a cat. Fences are at most obstacles to be traversed.
A bit different with dogs.

This is linked to A Photo a Week: twisted. This little dog will twist his head a full 360° to catch a glimpse of his human. But it is no ordinary love, she is a medical rescue dog who is trained to look out for her owner in case he is having heart problems.
Another twisted tale – not a good photo but I saw this buck with wire twisted up in his antler. We reported it, and I think (hope) he was helped.
