Easter Eggs, and Chicks, and Bunnies
Happy whatever you might be celebrating this weekend. If it involves eggs, and bunnies, and chicks, it’s probably Easter. May you celebrate it in the best possible way (which might not even come close to your wishes but still!).
Treating myself and others
It’s still dark outside but this early morning treat gets me going. For years I couldn’t drink coffee without the most severe heartburn, now that I can drink it again without problems, I consider it special.
Henry gets special treats occasionally and he likes it just as much as the next cat. He wears his feelings on the cheek, so to speak.
And is it too early to talk of Easter? [Yes, it is! even if the stores think otherwise.]
These are chocolate treats and not really special in Germany. Around Easter time they are rather commonplace. What makes them unusual are their looks: they represent cockchafer beetles, heralds of spring, and not, as horrified English visitors have remarked, cockroaches.
Finally, only yesterday Nancy had asked for tasty treats for her A Photo a Week Challenge (great minds think alike! – check out her site and the contributions) and I posted this photo:
Friendly Friday: Special Treats.

Eggs-actly
He tried to get away with the eggs but it turned into an egg roll.
I hope you all had as happy an Easter weekend as is currently possible.

It doesn’t have to be a Christmas tree

It’s an old custom that has been revived during the last years: decorating trees in the garden with Easter eggs.
This works for a larger tree as well as for shrubs and planters.
This tree is adorned throughout the year. Whether by design or because it’s too much of a hassle to take the decoration down after Easter, I don’t know.

And now for a completely differently tree: this dummy tree is in a park and toddlers hang their dummies there when they (or their parents) think they have outgrown them.

I wonder how I wonder why … isolation
The title is taken from the lyrics of the song “Lemon tree” by Fools Garden.

Happy Easterbunny

Obviously, the Easter bunny was checking if the coast (or rather the dining room) was clear.
