For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge I checked out ferry photos and I came across these from about 20 years ago. I know it was near Grau-du-Roi in the Camargue but I cannot pinpoint it further. Water, Water Everywhere
has raised its prices. It used to be 70 cents per adult (with or without a bicycle), now it’s a full Euro. And for a car it’s 2 Euros now. You can reach Neckarhausen from Ladenburg via the bridge but it will add one-and-a-half kilometre to your journey. And it will take away about 10km of fun.

Sometime during summer our running group does a ferry run. It’s a different location each year, we find a ferry, and we plan a run which involves crossing a waterway.

It’s a lot of fun.


The way back may be another ferry ride or crossing a bridge. Most of us dress up as fairies (because it is fun). We’ve had runs which involved skinny dipping.



And it always ends in more fun.

Sadly – you might have guessed it – this year’s fairy / ferry run has been cancelled.
