Native to Southern Africa I found one (sic!) in the South of France. I like the way the bulbine frutescens looks, I like its common name in German even more: Katzenschwanzblume = cat’s tail flower.

You guessed it, this is a little Japanese tiger lily, the Latin name is lilium leichtlinii. I can’t help it but on close look the bloom seems aggressive in a sexual way. Better take a step back. Floral Friday and Flower of the Day
