The faux mosque in the palace gardens of Schwetzingen is decorated with maxims and sayings which the designers considered to be Eastern wisdoms. Wherever it stems from, the sentiment seems to be true in this case.

Melibokus
A strange Latin name for this mountain of the Odenwald overlooking the Rhine Valley. The original tower was blown up in by two 18-year-olds when the Allied Forces arrived at the end of the second world war. The US Arm put a radio mast on the site and used it for many years as a radio relais station. Today it is used for internet purposes and more importantly, as a marker for air traffic control.

The Wetterhorn
Every mountain in the Bernese Alps seems to be more colossal than the next. This particular one is the Wetterhorn, the Hausberg of Grindelwald that’s the mountain closest associated with the town, it’s practically on the doorstep.

Spoilt for Choice
The Odenwald Klub is an organisation which promotes and maintains trails all over this low mountain range.
This is only a small selection, posted on the tower on top of the Tromm with 576 m above sealevel amongst the highest elevations in the Odenwald.
