It’s definitely not a good photo but we did have a good laugh. We were staying at a hostel this summer and the breakfast tables all had a “reserved” sign on them. We were a group but we all had individual tables. The funniest one was this one for “Ms Philips”. Ms Philips is our friend Emlyn. I guess Welsh names are not common in Germany.

Castle Wildenstein is a spur castle, i.e. a castle built on a mountain peak as a fortification. It was built in the 13th century in the Swabian Alb, above the young Danube. Access is through a high wooden bridge on some spindly looking pillars.


This fortitude against capture would also be a weakness if the (small) army besieging the castle had enough time on its hand (and no one would come to the aide of the beleaguered castle inhabitants).
