Beaded Necklaces
I have a nerd name and I have a hash name (I also have an internet name, i.e. Eklastic, which is a combination of both, jumbled up).
We wear the name around our neck, just in case we might forget it.

At hash meets there are usually haberdashery sellers and they will do the beading for you. Hence, I’ve had a number of necklaces over the years.
To protect the not-so-innocent I’ve blanked out a few letters. If you are interested (I doubt it) you can play a game of wordl to find the full names.

Hashers get Hash names after a while of running with the group. Children get … Continue reading The Interrupter at Work

Checking!
When we go running (or walking or traipsing) on Sundays we follow flour blobs. Three blobs of flour and you are on the right track, aka “true trail”. Every now and again we might encounter a circle like this, aka a check. It means you … Continue reading Checking!
Where the Chalk Leads Us
We call it chalk talk but more often than not our trails are marked with flour (cheap, readily available, and eco friendly). Since the Hash House Harriers are an international group and we often have visitors from other kennels (i.e. groups of runners) we usually start … Continue reading Where the Chalk Leads Us
