We stayed overnight at this hotel in Frankfurt because we didn’t want to drive home after the first Christmas party of the season. Standing outside I looked up – and noticed the incredible blue sky after a cloudy week. For tomorrow the forecast is for more clouds and possibly some more snow.

It’s even called Schönburg which means beautiful castle. The worst thing about it is that you have to walk up that hill to get there.
NUB stands for Neckaruferbebauung Nord. It consists of three highrise residential building with terraced buildings in front and several school buildings, on the northern banks of the river Neckar in Mannheim.

These are all street views of Frankfurt am Main – sometimes jokingly called Mainhattan because it’s the only city in Germany with a discernible skyline and because the river running through is the Main. But there is more to Frankfurt than a few highrise buildings.
