This is only odd to English speakers – a designated hugging place!   To Germans, it’s the parking place for a bakery once founded by a baker called Karl-Heinz Hug and his wife Marta.  Nevertheless, I never pass this place without checking if there is anybody nearby that wouldn’t mind a hug from me.
