Eeyore, Donkey, Mistlletoe, Sylvester … the one in Aesop’s fable, the one from the Town Musicians from Bremen. All of them.

And the cherry donkey on the top:

I bought new course books for my class. Don’t you love the feel and looks of new books, even class books?
Runner Ducks are funny creatures. They run like penguins rather than waddle like proper ducks. To me, they always look as if they are missing a couple of limbs when they charge across the ground, their necks outstretched and apparently unable to go slow.
Particularly this little lady. I really liked her. She always looked so poised and elegant. She would sit wherever I put her and never complaint even though she sometimes would lean away from fellow models.
But this is her swansong. The last picture I have of her, the last I will ever take of her. After this shot she fell into the hole. Let this be a warning to everybody: never sacrifice safety for a good photo, not even a superb one!
This is the Russian-orthodox church on the Neroberg in Wiesbaden. We were there this weekend and the weather was just awful so I didn’t carry a camera. But even in the grey light of the late afternoon the golden domes of the spires were stunning. So here is a photo from a few years back and a promise that I will go back on a sunny day to take more photos.
