Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Reflections or Shadows

Vogelstang Lake
The lake is wedged between two suburbs of Mannheim, Vogelstang and Wallstadt. From the northern side the watertower of Wallstadt rises above the stretch of beach.
From the opposite site the highrise apartment building of Vogelstang are visible.
BTW: The sign just visible says: swimming allowed, boats and stand up paddling not allowed.
Bird Bar
The neighbourhood of Mannheim were this lake can be found is called “Vogelstang”, literally “bird bar” or possibly “bird pole”. This pole however, did not feature any birds when I was passing by.

Here is a long shot of the lake in Böblingen, where I took this picture, to explain the extraordinary colour, right in the middle:

PS: The title is a word pun crossing German-English lines. Mallards are called “stock ducks” (Stockenten) in German.
