Magpies don’t have the best of reputations but their black and white coat with its stark contrast is just too beautiful.

The black and white is calling for a monochrome treatment. In the second adaptation I played around with the white balance. I like to do that sometimes because it can yield interesting effects. And then I just went colour crazy.
