I wonder if some bird chicks look the way they do to instill in them humility. The moorhen seems to be a particular good example for this. FOWC with Fandango: Instill

It never came out of its hiding and I couldn’t get a closer look. Sorry for the pun. Of course, the fowl is a moorhen.

This somewhat strange structure is found between the lower and upper lake in the city centre of Böblingen, a town near Stuttgart in Germany. I say strange because it seems so barren and stark.

The reflections make a great photographic subject.

And getting close one can play with thin columns and shadows and vanishing points.
