or Public Mural Art in Mannheim. This mural by the Belgian artist Nean is the 50th large mural under the heading “Stadt.Wand.Kunst.” by the town of Mannheim. It’s called FOUR and in summer it blends in with the trees surrounding the house which makes the illusion of a forest which is appropriate for a building in Elm Street (Ulmenstraße).
My husband and I occasionally take a walk around a local lake. Somewhere a long the way there are a number of walls in the middle of a meadow. Their only function is to give a platform for local sprayers. The graffiti / murals change … Continue reading And then one Day It Changed

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."
