I quite like this photo even though it’s skew.
So at first I straightened boat, losing the first oar and losing some of the photos appeal to me.
Then I gave it the water colour treatment making the photo crisp and grainy.
I prefer the oil painting treatment because of the fluidity which kind of fits the water.

On the river Neckar near Heidelberg. Sunday morning is the time to go on the water.

Less sky, more green. But the sky itself would have been undefinably whitish grey. I took this photo on the banks of the river Neckar. A couple of kilometres up the river there would have been the Heidelberg castle on the slopes.
It looked quite atmospheric and not at all like spring. But that’s what you get in April. April is a mixed bag.
in front of the “Heidelberg Childhood-Haus”. The name is a quite unusual mix of English and German as this institute is a part of the Childhood foundation. It was opened in September 2019 by Queen Silvia from Sweden (a native of Heidelberg).

Wordless Wednesday
The barriers on both sides of the ferry are for the safety of the passengers. This hasn’t hindered a car from falling in a couple of years ago.
