The Empty Nest Syndrome
The Rote Turm in Weinheim has been suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome for many years now. I think there were still storks living there during the summer when I was a little girl. Then the nest was abandoned.
Today there is again a thriving stork population. They have moved away from the town and into the plain, closer to food and company.

I’m a Fan of Storks Nesting
Not every stork can afford their own free standing nest.
Some storks compromise by finding eccentric locations.
First you have to build the next, then you sit on the eggs … and wait.
And soon, the youngsters are taking over the nest.

A stork flying overhead.
What will he bring? Will there be the patter of tiny feet in the near future?
