Closer, hold me closer …

014 narrow b (480x640)

To get away from clogged highways we stopped for lunch and a walk in the small town of Günzburg in northern Bavaria.  The old centre of town is crisscrossed with little narrow streets and alleyways.  It’s by necessity that one ends up arm in arm!

Smile on Chuckles

Smile on Chuckles

I didn’t know her but this plaque on a bench overlooking Roker Beach in Sunderland made me smile.  What a great way to be remembered – by passing your smile on to complete strangers.

This is for The Daily Post asking for smiles.

A walk of possibilities

Here is the yield of one afternoon’s stroll:

18 13 a (640x480)
A goose, or possibly duck, not giving me the time of day.
18 13 b (480x640)
Somebody’s lawn ornament. Perchance an alien, or possibly … something else.
18 13 c (640x480)
This, I think, used to be state of the art.  Is this possible?
18 13 d (480x640)
Somebody started a wood carving.  Still full of possibilities.  I think I see penguin, or possibly a frozen chicken.
18 13 e
Buoy and swan.  Looks like a first approach, possibly the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
