In Polis on Cyprus there used to be the Insomnia Café. Apparently people in Polis Chrysochous are sleeping well because the bar has closed, goneto sleep forever, so to speak.

Even though Cyprus is at the other end of the Mediterranean to Spain, siesta time is siesta time. We stood in front of locked doors. The pubs and cafés and restaurants had closed until about four in the afternoon.

A Greek Cypriot
His statue stands facing the Apostle Andreas Orthodox Church in Polis Chrysochous. I think he is considered a hero in the struggle between the Turkish and Greek parts of Cyprus but I couldn’t read the plaque.
