Follow the hare

This is my awake (awoke?) week. It seems I have used up all my awaken (awoken) photos this week already: my awake coffee mug, my cat waking me when it is still dark, even a sunrise somewhere. But I know (and the mirror confirms this) that I will never look as awake as this hare, alert, vigilant, sharp, and wired. I need something to awaken my morning bearing.

Expectation feeds frustration

No, for once not COVID related. This is a photo from 2016. I had planned an outing to these castle grounds and ended up in front of the gate reading “closed” – very frustrating. I’ve never found out why the park wasn’t open. I’ve been back since and could go in.

We’ll stay home

A painted pebble carrying a message of solidarity. Who knew even a year ago that staying home would be a sign of caring today?

The lure of darkness

I’ve used this image before but it seemed so perfect to illustrate “illusion” that I thought I add something extra and reversed it.

It was part of a night light show in a park and it was a one-dimensional exhibit. But wouldn’t you just love to step right in and walk around that corner?
