Buttons used to be the thing. Today … not so much (Nö!).
Interesting aside (interesting for people interested in language, that is): Button is “Knopf” in German but these buttons are called … drumroll … “Buttons”.
It wasn’t exactly a home movie, it was the film project of a drama student in 1981. We used to shoot our films in Super 8 and they looked like home movies most of the time. I remember I did a stop-motion something, foreshadowing my experiments with minikins, but of so little note that even I don’t remember much about it let alone have a copy.
I do remember more about the project of a fellow student in which I had a minor part. I played the unfaithful girlfriend of a young soldier, discovered in bed with the new conquest. Since we didn’t have sound the situation was conveyed by having a picture of me and the boyfriend on the nightstand prominently displayed. That’s the photo above.
Life is hard and then you die. He’s carrying the world upon his shoulders. Even amidst all this beauty. But the stoop hasn’t come naturally, it’s the result of many, many, many hours of training. Ragtag Daily Prompt: Stoop
