In our local park there is an aviary with exotic birds (i.e. birds from warmer climes). They need a heater during winter.

I’m not a fan of smoking and I am thankful that over the years I’ve come less and less in contact with this unwelcome habit. But my particular bugbear is when idiots cannot dispose of their cigarette butts in a decent fashion.

A Risqué Name
The Ragtag Daily Prompt and Fandango’s prompt for FOWC came together serendipitously for me today.
And yes, I am known by this name. That’s the name many people have in the phonebooks. And they call me that name, too, although often only Knicker or Knickers. I have T-shirts and jackets with that name and even a business card with that name on it. It’s difficult to explain to outsiders although the story behind it is a lot less risqué than what the embroidered picture suggests.
It Was Meant to Be a Christmas Tree
Henry, our cat, was spellbound by one single ornament.
He broke the tree before we ever could hang another one.
This one bauble held him spellbound (still does, it’s in his toy box).
