
That’s what it looks like and I’m sticking with my story.
I tried to find a photo with Henry looking adoringly at us, at anything … I gave up and have accepted that it is us adoring him. Of course, we do.
I don’t have any photos of Henry’s first Christmas with us. I don’t really remember but I suppose I was too busy keeping him away from the decorations.
This was our attempt with a real tree. When it was still standing.


Next we tried the minimalist approach with a tree from Slovenia. It didn’t survive for too long.
Christmas under a glass dome was another attempt to deal with the problem (otherwise known as Henry).
Watch this space what yuletide will look this year in our house. I hope you all have a very merry one.

Of course, it gets dark early and light late every year at this time of the year but this December it seems to get to me more than in other years. On some days it doesn’t seem to get light at all. I’ve about had it with this darkness and I’m prepared to dance around a bonfire tonight to appease the gods to coax the sun back.
