The water is but shallow but this is the highlight of the nautical year: the annual regatta. Homemade model boats race against each other over a stretch of at least 100m!
I immediately had the Tina Turner song in my head when I read shim (I learned about the other meanings of “shim” only after consulting a dictionary). The line about the shimmy is not even in the official lyrics of “Private Dancer” but Tina Turner adds it like a line of dialogue between the dancer and her customer.
The picture was done by my son for my husband for his sixtieth birthday (so quite some time ago) when he dabbled in caricatures during his teenage years.

More wp gremlins. Some of the posts don’t appear in my feed although I’m subscribed. I didn’t find the Ragtag prompt yesterday but this morning I saw Ruth’s wonderful grey graffiti and clicked to the prompt from there. So one day late, but still very grey. These are yarrow seed heads. (The German name, Schafgarbe, is too long to type in the flash tags.)
