Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge: L at the End of the Word

Debbie’s oddity of today is Bell Rock. Since this rock formation has a kind of angular look to it I remembered that I have an odd bell in my collection, a square one, in fact. It’s a fire warning bell that is housed in an old wooden tower that is otherwise used to hang fire hoses to dry: Der Schlauchtrockenturm in Ritschweier.
The windows belong to the training centre of a catholic hospital. I’ve been inside the training centre but not in the room with these windows – I presume that they belong to a chapel or a prayer room.

This wayside shrine is called Kalter Herrgott (Cold Lord). It is found near the village of Ritschweier in the Odenwald, Germany, on the brow of a hill where cold winds blow.

The barren looks of the fields after the harvest point towards the autumn

even though it is still hot.

With the wind blowing over the stubbles, autumn isn’t far away anymore:
Wenn der Wind über die Stoppelfelder weht, ist der Herbst nicht mehr fern.
