Ranger Danger

This one needs a bit of a backstory. When our boys were little and in nursery school they came home one day very perturbed. They did not want to watch tv although their favourite programme was on, they did not want to play with their action figures and were acting … well, strange.

As we found out they had learned about “stranger danger” earlier. And had misunderstood the teacher. They had heard that rangers could be dangerous. Maybe I should add that they were arduous fans of the “Power Rangers”.

I don’t have a photo of a power ranger. The closest I can find is this rather strange sculpture of a frog dressed as a forest ranger. Your call what you find stranger.

The Ragtag Daily Prompt: Stranger

Long and Lanky

I saw this silver sculpture in front of a building which is part of the Technical Museum in Speyer. Size and form, yet not the stance nor the material, reminded me of a sculpture I’d seen in Munich.

Stern

This sculpture of a man, presumably a church minister, sits in front of a bank in Lindenfels. I couldn’t find out anything else about him.

#1 The original had a lot of things going on in the background.

#2 I edited out the background.

#3 I flipped to negative and tweaked the contrast.

#4 I maxed out saturation.

#5 I overlaid artifical depth of field
