If the happy, beguiling, little pig doesn’t convince you then maybe the reminder that the meat is “freshly butchered” or in a more literal translation: freshly slaughtered.
I’ve shown this butchery sign before which is not surprising since I can see it on every stroll around our neighbourhood.

A Walk Around Our Hotel Compound
Straight out the door and towards the sea.
Turn to the north and the choice is yours: walk next to the water line or on top of the beach or take the proper path next to sunbeds.
After not meeting anybody for at least one kilometre we tried a bit more inland and ended up on a small country road with no shadow anywhere.
Found some relief on a path flanked by olive trees.
which led us back towards the hotel following the tire tracks between the bales of hay and the beach.

It’s the Season
Because it’s not quite over yet, no photo editing just a few photos I took during the last couple of days to show what we did.
Of course, there is a tree with all the ornaments, some of them edible.
We had a Christmas food, all of it edible, and some decorations.
We had our presents on the night of Christmas Eve, as is traditional in Germany, and we played with our new toys.
On Christmas Day, we went for a walk in near spring conditions. We were greeted most graciously.
We even made new friends while we were out.
The rest we’ll keep under wraps.

Impressions of Walkers in the Summer Sunshine
We spent the weekend with lots of friends doing little else but walk in the sunshine (at least, as long as the sun was up). I am left with lots of impressions.
