A Week of Threes
The flooding during the last weeks have reminded me when we were in Düsseldorf on the banks of the river Rhine a few years ago. The banks were overflown then but the waters didn’t reach dangerous levels.
Last week was grandson visiting time and we went for an excursion with our bike, taking the train first and then cycling back. It’s not a great photo by any means but it was the beginning of a wonderful day.
We also went to the zoo in Heidelberg.
There were three elephants
and a large number of flamingoes – but these three were obliging to pose for Thursday Trios.
Will They Get the Worm?
I wonder.
These fancy pigeons won’t get worms served for their dinner
and neither are these wild pigeons hiding in the cornfield are there for worms, I think.
Barrow Gardening
I drive past a cemetery every day and the other day I saw three watering cans, one blue, one red, one yellow, hanging near the entrance. When I went back in the afternoon the colourful cans were gone and only green ones were hanging near the tap. Still a nice trio but not what quite was I was aiming for.
But since I was there I had a look around.
More functional trios.
And a hallowed trio.
Getting My Ducks in a Row
I came across three young ducks, one female and two males. The brilliant green blue head feathers of the boys were just growing in, one of them was a bit further along.
