The Wildlife Outside
The wildlife in our garden is unexpected. I see through the window and I see the three stalkers

amongst the stalks of grass.
They are not the only ones in the green jungle outside.

But there is also the watcher in the grass – trying his best to be inconspicuous.

I’m a fan of giraffes
On Friday I rediscovered this giraffe (or possibly not) amongst my archived photos for the Friendly Friday Challenge.

It made me realise that I have more photos of giraffes. I’ve always liked these animals and it has upset me when I read that their conservation status has been moved from “least concern” to “vulnerable”.
No matter how difficult the task is, we will manage it!

I got all my playthings with me

I’ve taken to carry my Corona-Man toy figurines along to make outings more fun – even if it is just going to the shops. At home I couldn’t find such a picturesque puddle to play with reflections.
I find other settings for them as well. And since I have my camera with me anyway, more fun finds:

This one didn’t want to pose with Corona-Man. I can’t blame him/her/it.

Encounters of the miniature kind
I’ve already introduced my discovery of Corona Man and his faithful, yet-to-be-named-dog. But I’ve looked through the old toy boxes and found some more to play around with like this ice cream truck:

And there are always 32 mice to play with. Can you spot the exchange student in the back?

This board used to stand in my office at school and one of the teachers had one with frogs so we decided to start an exchange program.

“It’s a happy talent to know how to play.”
That’s what Ralph Waldo Emerson said. Some adults have that talent. But occasionally we also see it in children.
