An Odd Fish in the Bird Park
In one of the enclosures in the bird park in Viernheim one comes across this rare exhibit of flightless and featherless specimen. We were astaunded. And wondering about the backstory. The rest of the inhabitants are all of the avian kind.

Water Is Indeed Everywhere
We went to the bird park yesterday. It was already fairly late and cold, the trees have been covered in hoarfrost for the last few days. There was a pair of snowy owls and it was a bit challenging to take photos through the wire mesh fence, so I went really close.
Imagine my surprise when I saw this photo on my computer screen at home: water droplets around the owl’s eyelid. The photo is completely un-enhanced, just the way I took it. Fair to double dip with Macro Monday?
