Steps, Steps and more Steps

I’ve just come back from the Middle Rhine wine region (between Bingen and Koblenz), part of which is a UNESCO heritage site. It is quite breathtaking to see the steep slope vineyards on either side. Getting up the steps between the different vineyards must be even more breathtaking, literally.

For A Photo a Week: vanishing point.

Interesting (yet completely irrelevant) fact: In German, it’s an “escape point”, not a vanishing point.

It may be the first Sunday of Advent but I am not quite ready to let go of autumn.  Lines.  Rows and rows of growing wine – Riesling, Grauburgunder, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Shiraz … I love them all.   PS: Today’s Oxford Dicitionary’s Word of the Day is bibulous, aka: excessively fond of alcoholic beverages 😉

For One Word Sunday: lines.   More lineage can be found here.
