A Monday Window for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. This Monday I showed off the windows in the fences and walls of the zoo of Worms. The zoo is inclusive and these windows allow small children and visitors in wheelchairs to see into enclosures. This goat was particularly obliging and posed for me.

Twin Windows from Neustadt an der Weinstraße
We spent last Saturday in Mußbach, a part of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Yes, we were there to sample the new wine at “the world’s longest-lasting wine festival” (i.e. it lasts from mid-August to mid-October) but our walk through the vineyards also brought us past some houses. With Windows.

More from Schloss Fürstenau
A couple of weeks ago juxtaposed the new and old parts of Schloss Fürstenau in Steinbach. Here are some of the windows from the various buildings.

The clear cut classical lines of the new palais with the black and gilded lattice look perfect with the white walls offest by the grey frames (I have no idea what the colours originally were).

Dormer windows jutting out of the slate tiled roof and the wide bay window in sandstone.
My favourite windows are the skew ones in the old part which are on the outside of a staircase.
