I’ve just come back from the Middle Rhine wine region (between Bingen and Koblenz), part of which is a UNESCO heritage site. It is quite breathtaking to see the steep slope vineyards on either side. Getting up the steps between the different vineyards must be even more breathtaking, literally.
The times are changing, too, and July is coming to an end. I decided to end Becky’s Square Tree Challenge with a tree from my neighbourhood.

Our running group went into the vineyards of the Rheingau on the weekend.
It was like being in a sea of vines.
It was like being in a maze.
The important thing though: the grapes are well on the way.
