A colourfully dressed girl balancing on a stack of books, empowered by her reading material she takes a flight of fancy. The artist, Hans Scheib, called his work “Die Literaturnerin”, a portmanteau word, a blend of “Literatur” (literature) and “Turnerin” (gymnast).
