You might think of Paul Simon when you read the title but this Concert in the Park happened in South Africak, at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg in 1985. It was a benefit concert (for Operation Hunger, a South African charity. The internationally best known group performing was Juluka (with Sipho Mchunu and Johnny Clegg) but other big draws were Hotline (one of the earliest crossover bands with P.J. Powers as the lead singer), Steve Kekana (a blind, very famous singer in South Africa), and Brenda and the Big Dudes (at the time, the most prominent band to present Township Bubble Gum songs).
