I will never run a marathon (or even a half marathon) but I will keep supporting my foolish friends who think they need to it.

I only took up running in my 50ies. I’ve always maintained that I will consider “my” marathon the fact that I will still be running in my 70s+ (hopefully). I’ve seen to many people who took up running late, trained for a marathon, ran one and then gave up because they overtrained, or injured their knees permanently. But – if it is your poison – I’m sure there are worse.
