As beautiful as his tail is, he deserves to be shown in his full size. And yes, I’m sure it was a he. And no, I won’t make any jokes about a squirrel and his nuts.

    1. I’ve been wondering … as I mentioned to Alice, in Germany we think of squirrels almost exclusively as red (I added another photo). But on photos from the UK I’ve only seen grey ones. However, in children’s books (i.e. The Gruffalo, The Squirrels who squabbled, The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin, to name but a few) they are often depicted as red as well.

      1. The iconic image of a squirrel in Germany is red. I added a poster to the post, warning about forest fires, if you want to have a look. (PS: Munich is different. Always has been, always will be 😉
