What did you use to get rid of the trees? Interesting edit, at least I’m assuming it’s an edit.

It wasn’t me!! They were chopped off. Apparently, they were getting dangerous and the forestry department went at it late in winter this year. There is wood and then allotments below and in years gone by people looked after these and the trees were replaced one after the other, not in one fell swoop. After having grown up with the trees surrounding the ruin, it took some time to get used to. Even in winter it was never that bare. But after becoming adjusted to the view I found it quite interesting. Although I used to play there as a child I never knew about the lower wall. I probably climbed over it more than once yet didn’t know it circled the lower part of the ruin.

That’s really interesting. I thought it was some expensive app that allowed you to get rid of things in a photo you don’t want. (I believe you can actually do that.) 🙂

I know it works with shots where you edit out people from tourist attractions. But you need several shots from the same point of view so that the app can fill in what is behind the person you want to edit out. What is covered in the one shot can be seen in the other and vice versa. In my photo of the castle ruin the programme would not know what to fill in once the trees were removed.
