And: “Other names include bluebottle, bluecup, blue blob, blue bonnet, cornbottle, boutonierre flower, hurtsickle, and gogglebuster”. Also wiki. Gogglebuster!!! š But what has this flower to do with a centaur – as the Latin name centaurea suggests?

I think so, yes. There are one or two flowers here in the fields that look similar but I think these are Kornblumen.
